The same person who introduced me to other bands like Papadosio, CBDB, and Pretty Lights, also welcomed my ears to Umphrey’s McGee. Bless that man for changing my life back in 2014, and shame on me for waiting 10 years to finally see them at Hulaween 2024. However, it was worth the wait because that was one of the heaviest sets I’ve ever seen at a festival, so naturally, I was aching for more, and luckily, I got my wish a few months later right in my own backyard city of Birmingham.
